Metrojaya's Charity Bazaar 2008 - Sat, 13 December 2008

 

Apart from receiving fine gifts, enjoying lavish dishes and putting up astonishing decorations in this festive season, it is also a season of sharing and giving; that does accurately coincide with the objective of the annually held Metrojaya Charity Bazaar. This biennial event marked the 5th consecutive year recently at Berjaya Times Square, LG West.

The event themed “Let the Spirit of Christmas Begin with Charity” filled with interesting games, delicious food and special merchandise. A special corner sponsored by A Cut Above academy had special offer for customers to trim their hair at only RM10.

Children from Destiny’s Starting Pont joint the Metrojaya family for a day of fun and laughter. They were treated to a hair cut by A Cut Above and lunch thereafter. Santa Clause made an appearance to jive the joyous afternoon with his famous jolly “ho-ho-ho” and give away Christmas goodies to the young at heart.

There were food and beverage corner that encompassed delectable sweet bites from Strudels, desserts from BAAN26, Marigold UHD Asian Drink, Spritzer Mineral Water and many more mouth-watering chows. There were fantastic great merchandise as festive gifts from the Homes, Children, Apparels, Accessories, Bags, Skin care, Cosmetic and Fragrances, CDs, DVDs, Book and Magazines, Potted Plants… and the lists goes on, was conjured just for Metrojaya Charity Bazaar.

During the day, shoppers were also treated to interactive games session with attractive prizes thrown in for lucky participants. It was indeed a day of charitable fun with family and friends.

Metrojaya’s Deputy General Manager of Advertising and Promotions, Alice Tan states that “Another year has come and gone, once again we are grateful to our patrons and staff for their continuous support towards the bazaar. We strongly believe that a little that we can do here at this bazaar will be able to go a long way to ease the burden of the underprivileged.”

Total of RM 96,000 has been raised from items and coupon sales during the charity bazaar and all the proceeds from the bazaar will be channeled towards Little Sisters of the Poor, Penang, Pusat Kebajikan Care Haven, Johor and Destiny’s Starting Point, Klang.
