METROJAYA CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

 

Charity campaigns have constantly been an integral element of Metrojaya’s continuous community projects in giving back to society. Maintaining an ongoing commitment in developing new projects, creating awareness and financial assistance. It is Metrojaya’s aspiration to initiate projects that can be of partners to non-profit organisations in Malaysia.

Metrojaya organised a Christmas Charity Bazaar last December 2008. The event themed “Let the Spirit of Christmas Begin with Charity” filled with interesting games, delicious food and special merchandise. A special corner sponsored by A Cut Above academy had special offer for customers to trim their hair at only RM10.

There were food and beverage corner that encompassed delectable sweet bites from Strudels, desserts from BAAN26, Marigold UHD Asian Drink, Spritzer Mineral Water and many more mouth-watering chows. There were fantastic great merchandise as festive gifts from the Homes, Children, Apparels, Accessories, Bags, Skin care, Cosmetic and Fragrances, CDs, DVDs, Book and Magazines, Potted Plants… and the lists goes on, was conjured just for Metrojaya Charity Bazaar.  

Total of RM 96,000 has been raised from items and coupon sales during the charity Bazaar and all the proceeds from the bazaar will be channeled towards;

1. Destiny's Starting Point, Klang

2.  Little Sisters Of The Poor, Penang

3. Pusat Kebajikan Care Haven, Johor

 

Destiny’s Starting Point, Klang

Destiny Starting Point is a home that rescue, restore, reconcile and reform boys and girls back into their destiny that their Creator God intend for each one of them. Many of this boys and girls are from broken families and abused background. Here, the home train, teach and equip them to be a better person for their families and nation. That's why we called it "DESTINY STARTING POINT".

Little Sisters of The Poor, Penang

In 1951, Mr. Au Boon Haw donated the original bungalow and land to the Little Sisters of the Poor in Penang . Au Boon Haw was a great philanthropist along with his brother Au Boon Par, they built and donated many schools, hospitals and homes for the elderly. The Home was opened in 1955 on March 25th and maintained by means of public donations, in cash or in kind.  The Sisters are grateful for any help offered to them.

Pusat Kebajikan Care Haven, Johor

Care Haven Children home is a charitable organization that provides care, assisted upbringing as well as fill-lodging services for the less fortunate children. The center is part of Pusat Kabajikan Care Haven Bhd, a Christian organization. The home is located at Masai, Johor Bahru, the branch is located at Sabah , Kota Kinabalu. The home's focus is to create a community of love and care.
